An Eternal EndingShe was made after the time of ribs and mud; after machines and steel, flight and war; after devastation, triumph, and annihilation. She was the one they had been waiting for: the hope of humanity. And she was alone.
A bright light shone over the eastern sky. Its yellow warmth was strange yet familiar, as if she had felt this sensation before. But how could she, for Cadence had no memories. Her life had just begun, but something faintly loomed in the back of her mind.
She glanced curiously at the source of the odd warmth. It appeared to be coming from a yellow orb surrounded by line of pink, orange and red. And it was slowly rising.
Cadence stepped outside. The ground beneath her feet sank slightly under each unsure step. She peered quizzically at the strange substance creeping between her toes. TimeLeaves falling, twisting, painting
Water diffuses, shakes winters love
Rising oceans dance crumbling, oceans write
Riddles twist, stones, dance
Persuading leaves to glance
Flowers rise, dresses fall
Bathing suits play, sitting, cooking
Ice cream persuades, pumpkins paint
Footballs twist, fall, crumble.
AssimilationFalling chains, electrified eyes;
Heaved into forests, accused of lies.
Seeking pure music, they collect scattered words,
And hastily write thoughts seldom adored.
Their books are forgotten, yellow leaves slowly burn.
Like roses denied water, for futures they yearn.
Flaming chains, vehement eyes;
Now burn the forests, ingest the lies.
Music yields nothing, words twisted, conformed,
Slaughter the blithe thoughts you adorned.
You wont be remembered, you cant be revived.
Your ocean of life swallows worlds with its tide.
Plunging chains, dying eyes;
Escape the forest, reject the lies.
The music has perished, but now you must sing,
And write words long forgotten, expose everything.
Recast those lost words that you once adored,
You will receive water, you wont be ignored.
